Consider it’s the time to implement a few advanced measures to increase traffic to your website. People widely use mobile phones for their quick search, about 80 percent of people are using mobile phones and the rest of them are depending on laptops and other devices. So in order to gain more traffic, Google introduced mobile first indexing algorithms and consider mobile friendliness as a ranking signal from March 16, 2016 onward.

Google Algorithm –  Mobilegeddon 2.0

About a year later, Google introduced mobilegeddon algorithms to boost the mobile-friendly ranking signal. This algorithm is also called as mobilegeddon, but sometimes it’s also referred to as mobilepocalyse,  mopocalypse or mobocalypse. This algorithm provides users with the most relevant and timely results. All marketers understand the need to concentrate on mobile marketing strategies.

A Timeline of Google’s Mobile-Friendly Algorithm Update: Google updated its webmaster tool by adding mobile usability components to show mobile related issues to site owners. After that Google introduced mobile-friendly search result for users and consider mobile friendliness as a ranking signal. Google began to warn the site owners who did not properly follow the mobile updates & the site owners who have taken the algorithm lightly, faced a negative impact on mobile search result pages.
However mobile friendliness is important and marketers still use a variety of methods to increase ranking.  “If the page with high-quality content is not mobile friendly, it could still rank high if it has great content for the query.”

After the updation of mobile algorithms, users will get the most relevant and timely results. The algorithm would be bigger than either panda or penguin algorithms. This update only affects the search ranking of mobile devices to provide a smoother browsing experience.
